How do you get to the iconic photo spot location of the Maroon Bells?
Like this one? denverbentontours.files.word... IIRC, that's the view you get from a little dock (more like a plank) right on the trail that leads around the lake. I have an old picture of me standing on the dock and that's about the view I can recall.

Well, I believe that's the south-facing spot which, like I said, you can see well from the trail that leads around the lake. The forest service runs the Maroon Bells recreation area and offer a pretty good map of it: fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOC...
