We arrive at the docks on a cruise ship in Ashdod on Oct 15th,2009. How far is it to the Egged bus station and how might we get there? We are going to Jerusalem. Thank you for your help. Millard Sall
I am not too familiar with Ashdod and not at all with the port area. Just answering because no one else did. Probably your best bet would be to take a taxi from the port to the central bus station - unless of course you can get local directions to a bus on the spot. Good luck!

You don't need to go as far as the central bus station. The buses to Jerusalem also stop at the "Port Junction" stop. I don't know how far is the junction from the port. I'm sure if it's not walking distance you could find thee some way of transportation to get there either a bus or a taxi. Just ask for "Tzomet Ha-Namal" bus stop.
