We are bringing a group of about 16 to this region in September and Artvin looks like a good base - but where to stay? I found Karahan Hotel, but have been told that it is closing, and won't be available. Any ideas - or alternative locations close by, I would be grateful. Thanks.
You can find hotel and motel located city center of Artvin. You have to book room before coming because Artvin is a small city and there is not many hotel in there. Artvin is very good preference for holiday if you like to be in nature. You shoul visit Kafkasör upland meadow and Savsat towm and Karagol lake. I dont know why you choose Artvin as a base..Because its not a good base ...But if you will insist on Artvin please make your reservation before you arrive to the top of the mountain ..

Hi Macit, Can you suggest a better alternative to Artvin in the same general area? We will have travelled from Trabzon, and then we go on to Dogubeyazit.
