Hi. I will be Lille next week. I have come across the underground historical site in Arras. Can somebody help me on how to get there from Lille. How long would it take to go there? Can I just come there and go in? or do i need to prebook before coming there. Thanks.

Are you referring to the underground fortifications from the World War I ? they are fascinating to see. it would be difficult to visit various places without a car, even though it would be possible with public transport. Arras is not that far from LIlle Good Luck

I just realised there are two underground tunnels to see. Do you have any idea which is closer to train station? I wont have any car to use.
