I understand from Lonely Planet that there are FOUR modes of transport between Arica (Chile) and Tacna (Peru); bus, train, taxi and colectivo(shared-taxi).
What is the cheapest option?
Does anyone know of a good reliable tour guide for Arica? Also what is the best way to get to The main shopping street 21 de Mayo and Handicraft markets?
Hi, Does anyone have any info on how to get to la paz from arica, is there still a train?. Thanks.
We are arriving by cruise ship and trying to plan a day on our own using taxis rather than taking an organized tour.
. We wish to visit the Archeological Museum in San Marcos by taxi. Is it also possible to go from there to see the geoglyphs and maybe the handicrafts in Parinacota or are they too far away? ( I am more interested in the geoglyphs than the handicrafts).
I am thinking of getting a taxi to the Museo Arqueologicò San Miguel de Azapa from the port. Are there taxis available to return or do I have to order one. Thankyou
I'm going to land in a week in Arica, I would like to see Lauca National Park and then go to San Pedro De Atacama to see Uyuni desert and\or De Atacama desert (do you think they are different?) what would be the best way to do that? I'm a solo traveler so car is not an option...
So I've been reading a LP guidebook but it doesn't seem to mention about the bus schedule, it mentions only prices and durations. Does anyone know what time of day the bus leaves from Arica to La Paz? It doesn't have to be an exact time but an approximate one let's say early morning, late afternoon, overnight or something like that is enough.
HOW CAN I TRIP FROM ARICA TO AREQUIPA THANK YOU TRAVELS GUYS
Is there a connection between La Paz and Arica by train or bus.
