My dad and i will be going on a scandinavian cruise this summer and on of our stops is Aarhus, Denmark. This is the only port that i am not too familiar with. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Here are some of the choices that we have. • Den Gamle By Museum • Clausholm Castle • Vintage Train • Randers Rain Forest Raasted Church • Aarhus Cathedral • Fyrkat Viking Fortress • Ebeltoft
Den Gamle By is a museum consisting of buildings brought from all over Denmark and arranged to make an old town. Four of us visited it and we were all really impressed by it. I would strongly recommend it. Also enjoyed visiting the cathedral, but Den Gamle By was the highlight for us.

Only 'Den Gamle By' and the cathedral are in Aarhus itself. All other places are quite a distance from Aarhus.

Like previously mentioned "den gamle by" is very interesting. And i would say that Ebeltoft is one of the most charming small towns in Denmark and you should go and visit there if you have the time for it.

Den Gamle By can keep you occupied most of the day, with visiting and enjoying the workshops and activities. Hard to tell if you "need going" out of town not knowing how long you're at quay for...
