Arhus in August

by WeeIrene Online Now Jan 16, 2012 at 3:36 AM

I am planning a trip to Denmark in August this year along with my husband - we are mid-fifties. Would Arhus be a good base for a week's sightseeing? We will be bringing our own car.
Also - neither of us speak Danish. Is this a problem or is English spoken in most areas? Will we be able to understand menus etc?
Thanks
Irene

    Hi there,

Aarhus is a beautifull city and good perfect for a weeks sightseeing...though if you bring your own car I would definitely take a couple of days to "Vesterhavet" to see the wilderness of Denmark.

Almost all Danes speak english so that will not be a problem for you...Not all places or restaurants have translation on cards and menues but you will almot always be able to find someone to help you trasnlate if needed...:)

Hope you will have a pleasent stay in Denmark..
