If one had to choose on destination (for three day stay) out of the two (Bariloche or El Calafate) which would it be and why? We are confused and would like input from fellow travellers who have done both. We would not be skiing, but just sightseeing. THank you
NIce to know, do you know any tour agency in Calafate for a tour

THank youThere isn't enough to do in either of those two to merit staying 3 days, if you mean staying just in the town without going on daytrips.
Prettier- For me Bariloche is prettier setting and there is a bit more to do (mountains and lake setting). Calafate really is just a way station for people who want to go see the glaciers, the town itself has very little. That said, the day trips from Calafate to the glaciers are unforgettable. If you want to stay in the town or right near it the whole time take Bariloche. If you are willing to take lots of daytrips take Calafate
