Hi. I am getting married at the end of July, and we are planning a trip to Argentina for our honeymoon. I am trying to put together some ideas and plans and would like to ask what you would do with 4 weeks for a honeymoon in August. We are planning on seeing Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Iguazu, and that's as far as we've got figured out. How long should we stay in BA? Should we spend time in Barlioche, Mendoza or Cordoba? Are there any romantic train rides in Northern Argentina? Can you recommend a romantic spa/hotel in the countryside? Help me plan the most romantic honeymoon ever! Thanks in advance.
Hiii..congratulation for the future wedding... Well so far pick Bariloche(south), is wonderful place to visit...Mendoza is small place compare with the rest of the other nice cities...Cordova(north of Argentina) is very nice place too and will be more close to Iguazu area. Now remember at this time will be winter in south america, bring warm clothes there specially south part . Try some web page looking for pictures and spa...they have a bunch of nice hotels..this area is very similar of Germany. Good luck..ohh if have u chance so far try to visit Chile...Bariloche have conextion with Chile and both areas are wonderful.

Bariloche is a perfect place for honeymoon, Hotel Llao-Llao or the hotel in Isla Vitoria are excellent choices

Salta and the Northwest region of Argentina is a lovely area, I especially recommend the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a beautiful gorge north of Jujuy, and the mountain villages around Salta, such as Cachi. You might be interested in the Tren a las Nubes (Train to the Clouds) which runs from Salta into the lovely mountain area west of the city.

I assume that you do realize that August is winter in Argentina and that it will be cold in Buenos Aires and ski season further south in Bariloche. The Llao Llao is a fantastic hotel, and not too far from the ski lifts. Here is a link for the hotel http://www.llaollao.com/ I would recommend at least 5 days in Buenos Aires, mainly to be able to sample some of the fantastic places to eat. Not sure what price range you are looking at for hotels, but you have an ample choice. From the Alvear Palace to the BoBo Hotel there is just about every type and budget available. I think Mendoza would be worth a visit, even though it will be a bit cold. If you have a big budget the Cavas Wine Lodge is very nice. cavaswinelodge.com/ingles/ho... In addition, a restaurant that the Times of London has named one the world's best is in Mendoza. Francis Mallman's 1884 is worth the trip by itself. Hope this helps and all my best wishes!! suerte SAM

Have you thought of using a travel agent to help put this together? It might be very helpful and doesn't cost you a thing - just saves you lots of time.
