I have posted a similar question in the San Jose forum but am not sure if that is the best place. In short, we are flying into the main airport (Santamaria/SJO) in San Jose, but Nature Air flies out of Tobias Bolanos Airport. Has anyone in this forum used Nature Air, and could anyone give my a good estimate of the amount of time it takes to get from Santamaria/SJO Airport to Tobias Bolanos Airport? Thanks to all!!
nature air flies out of PAVAs and you need to give yourself an hour to get across San Jose. Traffic can be very interesting in San Jose.The main airport international is in alajeula which is just outside san jose. you'll be fine but give yourself a much time as poss. If you fly with SANSA they fly out of the international airport beacuse they are originally part of TACA. Good luck and safe travels

We just traveled from a hotel near Tobias Bolanos airport to the SJO airport. It took about 15 mins. It was at 5am. That said, it has also taken us 30-45 mins. So much depends on the traffic at the time. I believe Nature Air is the only airline that flies into the Arenal area. I have flown Nature Air many times but have not done the Arenal flight.
