Where are the best places to bike and barge?
We don't drive but we want to go see these gardens in April and thought about hiring a taxi from our hotel in Sarlat. Has anyone tried to do this and what was the cost? Did you arrange to have the driver wait for you or could you call another taxi to pick you up when ready? Is it a real walk to get from the gardens to Castelnaud and other spots in that area or should we stick with just the gardens? We are 2 older women (47 and 77).
daily rates and locations near to station
Is there any way at all to get from Perigueux to Bourdeilles without a car? I have explored most avenues and it doesn't seem to be possible. I would appreciate any advice. Many thanks
I will be in Bordeaux tomorrow and I really want to know what I can check out in and around the Sud-Pessac region since my hotel is located there.
After a cruise we will be flying from Madrid to Bordeaux, then will have 14days before flying out of Toulouse. We are 70 ish and like the smaller towns. Any help for how to adventure between Bordeaux and Toulouse in 14 days...we can lease a car. This will occur in early May 6th....2014.
Merci pour information
What are local train and/or bus stops within 1 hr from Bordeaux that are worth visiting?
Can anyone tell me please the approximate daily rates for parking in the public car park at Quai Maurice Ravel in Ciboure, St. Jean de Luz. Am hoping to holiday there for 2 weeks but the apartment has no parking. Many thanks.
I should have been more specific. My husband and I will be in the Dordogne, having arrived at Brive by train, where we'll rent a car. We'll end up in Sarlat and then go to Beynac, and return to Paris from wherever we can get a train. That's my question: what city is close to Beynac where we can get a train to Paris? Is Perigueux a good option?
can I get a train from Perigueux to Paris?
My husband and I are traveling to Bordeaux next week and would like to visit St. Emilion.
We are not renting a car. Should we sign up for a tour from Bordeaux, and if so any recommendations? Previous posts state it is difficult to get to St. Emilion by public transportation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
how far is it to walk from where the cruise shuttle bus drops you off to the sea front please? i have walking difficulties so what seems a short walk to some is quite a trot for me!
We have decided to stay a couple of nights in Saint-Emilion in early October based on the lovely medieval scenery and wine. We jumped too soon and booked a place (great reviews but) that may be tricky to find parking nearby. I need some suggestions on safe overnight parking. Don't mind paying for it as long and it is safe, secure, and close to the walled center of town (walking distance). Much appreciated!
I need a petrol station where I can pay cash on a sunday near Beynac et Cazenac. Opening hours would be helpful too.
Where would I find the best priced / least expensive Merlot or something similar for gifts?
Can anyone suggest a few inexpensive family type restaurants close tot he beach?
which is the cheapestmarket for by clothes?
Is there a "best way" through Bordeaux coming in on Autoroute from the North en route to Toulouse?
i have been looking on line for information about bus or train services between these two towns. Does anyone know?
Hello,I don't have a car and want to travel to Leon.Do you know if there are busses?because train seem to be very long over Iun!
Lots of hotels and apartments say "free parking nearby". It can't be that easy surely? Do cars need to be moved? Once moved is it difficult to get back in? Can you in fact end up with accomodation and nowhere to park your vehicle?
I am arriving in Bordeaux tomorrow about 12:00 I'd like to buy a GPS to use in France and to take to the UK and use there as well. Does anyone have any suggestions. A place as close to the airport as possible would be great! Thank you :-)
Satying just outside (20km) of Bordeaux for 5 days in June. We have a hire car to get round as we are travelling with our one year old and my Mum. The plan is to visit some vineyards and local town like St. Emillion. We do plan to drive into Bordeaux for a day and also perhaps one evening for dinner. Question is parking, I'm sure plenty of you have parked in Bordeaux so I'm looking for most convenient place close enough to the city centre. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
H! I hope you are all well! I will be in Biarritz for a weekend at the end of August (Friday the 23rd & Saturday the 24th)
I will be travelling with a friend of mine. We are looking for 2 single rooms in a hotel or apartment as near to the beach as possible.
I have looked up accomodation and found places booked out or very expensive...
Can you recommend anywhere?
We will have a rental car, so can travel to stay in a nice place!
I appreciate your advice!
is there a public bus service between Toulouse and Bordeaux?
how much money would it be for a cab travelling from bordeaux airport to saint emilion france
My husband and I are staying in Bordeaux for 3 days. As we have limited budget, are considering to use the tourist office package.
Has anyone tried this? It would be nice if you let me know what their chateau visiting is like. If the visiting tour is not good enough, we will arrange accommodation and separately.

How to get to Perigueux from Paris?
