Anyone got advice about snorkelling at Aqaba, please? We'll only have two full days. Should we buy gear in UK or buy/rent in Aqaba? Where are best places to buy/rent in Aqaba and where are best areas to go, as we don't have much time? Many thanks.
You should not have trouble renting gear at Aqaba. There are many dive schools & the water is crystal clear. We stayed at Hotel Alqaza & it had a dive school. ! But we were skydiving into Wadi Rum & elsewhere. Have fun.

There are 2 ways: 1.: you catch a taxi and go to the Royal Diving Center. It is 3 or 4 JD /6usd/ and the entrance fee is 4-5 JD. Here you can rent equipment. And there are also diving courses. 2.: go to the bazaar and at the grocery u can buy tickets for the glass boat. It's a full day program and costs around 10-15 JD with lunch. You will go out with a glass bottom boat, stop in many places where u can snorkel, like Japanese garden and South Beach. The prices: the pipe and the glasses were around 25-30 JD in the bazaar.
