I plan to take photos, and some video of area. Interested in local art work, and possibly pictures of the 'carpets' if they are set up on the streets before the parades of holy week. Any thoughts?
hello, yes the easter festivals time should be perfect for you to have many photo opps. i work for a travel company, and one of our clients who went last year came home with great pics of the carpets and he wasn't even a professional of any sort. You can read more info about the procession times here: Guatemala Easter Festivals but i would recommend that you go during Palm Sunday at least, which is April1 st this year, as that is technically when everything starts.
