Is there live jazz music in the city. Is there an annual jazz festival. Is there live music in the major hotels. Is there a music department in the universities there.
I hope to go in June next year. Let me know if you hear any good sounds! The scene was good in Reunion...good gigs! Regards Jackie

For live music in Tana I recommend the Bar Glacier. Lots of prostitutes but the music is excellent, often very good Malagasy bands. There is the annual madajazzcar festival, for more info see http://www.madajazzcar.mg/ Also in lots of restaurants and hotels around the country there is live music, mostly on friday.
