Hi!
We are busy planning our trip to Turkey for next year and would like to also include a train ride this time.
We will be returning our car at Antalya Airport after 2 weeks and plan to then take the train back to Istanbul.
This is some of the info I got from the internet:
i) bus from airport to Burdur and then
ii) another bus from Burdur to Dinar
iii) at Dinar we get on the night train (Pamukkale Exp) to Istanbul.
Is this correct? Will we be able to do it this way?
Thank you
Annali
With the current bombings in turkey will this affect visitors to Antalya, we have booked a holiday for the 8th July 2013

Merhaba arkadaslar!!! Im flying to Antalya on thursday with 2 friends to walk the Lycian way. Now, we want to start from Tekirova! Our flight arrives in Antalya at 19:30. Is there still any option to get to Tekirova the same night? :) Thanks for your answers!
I have just watched a video on youtube of a couple of guys snorkelling around Lara Beach. I have been to Lara 4 times and am going again soon. The guy who put the vid up said it was near the Lighthouse!
Would you know where this would be?

Can you Recommend a well located, yet quiet, Hostel in Antalya with warm night heating and a safety box/locker? Thank you!
Hi! My boyfriend and I are now on holiday in Tekirova. We're planning to go out shopping in Ozdilek on thursday. We know there is an express dolmus from Tekiriva to Antalya but does anyone know if this dolmus also stops at Ozdilek? And if not where do we have to change to go to Ozdilek? Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately, their website doesn't list tobacco and alcohol prices and they haven't bothered replying to my email. Has anyone been there recently? What's the price for a carton of Marli Lights and a litre of Smirnoff Red (37.5% or 40%), please? Thanks.

I'm visiting Antalya for a training and will have only one spare evening there. I wonder what is a must-see there that I can visit in the evening. I wouldn't mind some shopping as well though, but it would be great if I could combine the two. I'll be staying in Dedeman hotel, so please advise what is feasible doing in a short time period not going too far from the hotel area. Many thanks in advance!

Hello all, I will be arriving in Antalya in the early hours of March 5th, en-route to Fethiye later the same day (flights into Dalaman from the UK are difficult to find out of season). I would appreciate if anyone could recommend a hotel near the airport for the night. I am travelling alone and do not want to be traipsing halfway across the city to find my hotel. I am going to Fethiye by coach later the same day, any advice would be appreciated. Can anyone tell me if the coach stops en-route for toilet/food breaks? I am planning on using the inland route which I understand is far quicker. I have no idea what to expect. I have only just booked my flights so as yet, I have had little time to research this trip. I would be grateful for any help/comments/advice. Many thanks folks!
We have a family reunion (5 people)& looking to rent a place for 2 weeks in Antalya in April or May 2012 Any suggestion? Any good website or owner who can rent the place from them? Any kind of clue that you can help me! I am looking for nice place & reasonable price, I would like to have unforgettable memory for my family. Thanks in Advance
We are also wondering how one goes about purchasing a prepaid cell phone in antalya maybe at the airport. Ideally it would be as awesome as raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens if someone could rendezvous and have a late dinner with us at the airport and perhaps sell us a cell phone, change over some currency, and have a wonderful conversation about driving from Antalya to Akbuk. Emerson said friendship could well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature...anyone interested in building an american masterpiece?:)
My wife and I will be driving from Antalya to Akbuk on Wednesday...I would absolutely love some help, advice, or insight:)
Hi, Can anyone tell me details of any musical instrument stores in Antalya? Specifically I am looking for Turkish cymbals made by Istanbul Agop, Istanbul Mehmet or Bosphorus. Thanks in advance, Tony
Been coming to Turkey every now and then but I've never been to Antalya - except for their main bus terminal on my way to Kas. For the past couple of days, I've been looking for a local tour operator in Antalya to book a couple of tours for some friends of mine, or at least direct my friends to drop by their office to book a tour - not online or advance booking - as I know those advance booking/online are costly compared to booking it on the spot. Few months ago I booked my full day Kekova boat tour and Saklikent in Kas-based OPERATOR at TL60 each full-day tour w/lunch which is the on-going local cost. Would appreciate therefore if anyone have any suggestion of a local tour operator that offers full-day tours such as Kekova, Rafting, Antalya city tour -- based in Antalya city. The "wait til you arrive there" and "google this..." is not a suggestion I would like to hear, and i've already done the google it --- name, contact or website from people who have experienced booking it from any travel agent or tour operator "in Antalya" would be the best advise. Thanks as usual.
Does anybody knows on what way i can bee transfered (cheap) from Antalya Airport To Belek/?

I will be in Qatar to help my sister relocate there. We would like to visit the southern coast of Turkey the latter part of August or first part of September. We need advice on the best places to visit, the best airline/fare to use to get there. We want beaches, but we are age 50 and 60 and don't want to party like we're in college, but want to have fun and see some ruins, etc. Depending on where we fly into, we can rent a car, but would rather not have to.
Hi, I am planning on visiting Antalya the next week can anyone please suggest any good restaurants in Antalya and also some good tourist places which I can visit.:) Thank you
We had a great time rafting on Monday 27th July 2011 and bought the DVD from our guides. Sadly the case we put it in was lost by the Airline. Does anyone know how we can get another copy of the DVD
hi does any body know about amara beach hotel ? is there public transfer for going antalya and back?
My name is Jason and my wife Jeannie and I along with our nanny and two kids will be visiting Alanya this October. We live in Long Beach California and we will be flying into Antalya, renting a car and driving to Alanya. We’ll spend a week or so there before driving to Kusadasi to tour Ephesus and the seven congregations Paul visited in the Bible. We also plan to visit Patmos while we are there. I have traveled somewhat extensively in the past and am really looking to minimize the headache/inconveniences/nightmares that we could potentially experience traveling with a group this size as well as small children (Maya, our daughter is 2; Sophia is 9 months) I noticed that you live in Antalya and I thought that maybe you could respond to a few questions that we have: 1. How big and how busy is the airport in Antalya? Is it very time consuming getting from point to point? Is there a map that we can get online? 2. Which car hire companies have a reliable as well as economic reputation at the airport? How long would you say it takes to walk to them from the terminals? Ever heard of Turtas Car Rental? 3. How far is the drive from Alanya to Antalya and how long does it take to drive there? Is the drive pretty straightforward or complicated? 4. Is diesel cheaper than petro there? What is the price of fuel per litre currently in Antalya? Is there a website I can visit for daily updates? Is this price pretty consistent throughout Turkey (i.e. Alanya, Kusadasi, Smyrna) 5. How complicated is it to get a visa at the airport? What is the procedure/cost with this and how long does it take? Is there a website I can visit for this information? 6. Where is the least expensive location (preferably away from the airport) to change American currency? 7. Lastly, with regards to my general plan outlined in the first paragraph of this long novel Do you have any suggestions/warnings/thoughts as to how I wish to proceed? I know that I ask a lot of questions But experiences have taught me you can never be too informed in these situations. If you could answer any or all of these that would be awesome. Thank you so much for reading and I hope to hear from you soon! G. Jason Mahone, M.Ed
Hey, I´m gonna spend 4 month in Antalya, and I was wondering if someone knows a good fitness center/club? I´m not gonna stay at a hotel, so I would prefer a public club, unless it is possible to use the ones at the hotels.
Does anyone have any information or experience of this hotel. I understand that it is a small hotel in the Kalieci area of Antalya. We are considering to stay here i October 2011 Any information we would be grateful

Hi there just wondering if anyone has stayed here, going there next week and really looking forward to it. Can you advise on what currency best to take? English notes or euros or lira a bit confused as to what is preferred. Also do you have to pay for the funfair at this hotel? Lastly does anyone have a link to their spa prices at all? Thanks very much.
