I'm visiting Antalya for a training and will have only one spare evening there. I wonder what is a must-see there that I can visit in the evening. I wouldn't mind some shopping as well though, but it would be great if I could combine the two. I'll be staying in Dedeman hotel, so please advise what is feasible doing in a short time period not going too far from the hotel area. Many thanks in advance!
Your hotel is out at Lara Beach. Most of the interesting things to see are in the city itself. Perhaps get a taxi into the Kaleci (town centre) and walk around the older area. You will be safe. Just take the same precautions you would at home.

I second the advise above --- definitely the Kaleici --- that's what I did upon arrival in Antalya last month. I roam around the old part, it's quite a cvharming place at night, sit at one of the open-air cafe or dine in, walk around. Don't forget to bring your cam as kaleici has a different color at night (if u like photography), more like dramatic-rustic yellow. Don't be intimidated by the silence and lack of people on some streets and alleys, it's totally safe at night.

As I said, I spent only one evening in Antalya... And it was raining cats and dogs there... :( However, I enjoyed the fascinating sea view from my hotel balcony, and also had some delicious dinner at Shakespeare bistro! In spite of the heavy rain, I enjoyed Antalya... :)
