I have been advised that there is no commercial air service to Namibe Can anyone tell me what is the closest airport to Namibe? (Or another way to get there?)
Never been there but I believe there is an Aeroporto Yuri Gagarine, aka Mocamedes New, a few km from the city centre. A badly potholed road links the aiport to the town. You can also reach the town by road, rail or sea (Namibe being one of Angola's three major ports). Lubango Airport is probably your next best bet. Good luck!
