Hi Everybody! I'm flying to SE Asia in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have not a lot of time to spend there, only 19 days. So, I'm trying to find the best option to get form Bangkok to AW. Does anyone how could I get to Angkor from Bkk? Thanks a lot!
hi juana... the fastest (and more expensive) option is to fly there... only bangkok airlines flies this route and being a monopoly, the fare is higher than normal... you can book online at www.bangkokair.com... you can also rough it out by going by road... check out the travel details at www.talesofasia.com... ~chia

Doesn't Air Asia do the same route now? If not, you can still fly into Phnom Penh and take a bus there. The bus is about 5 hours or so.

I used Bangkok Air as well. Not the cheapest option but the quickest option. It's a case of how you value the time.

There are 3 or 4 ways to go from Bkk to Siem Reap: 1. Fly Bangkok Air (quite expensive) 2. Hire a car from Bangkok to Siem Reap (about 6 -10 hours of journey- quite a treacherous route from Poipet to Siem Reap) 3. Fly Air Asia from Bkk to PP and take the bus or boat from PP to Siem Reap

I have taken the infamous cheapest way between BKK to Angkor Wat via Poipet. It was a bumpy ride that I would not care to repeat. You can read my written tip members.virtualtourist.com/m...

The cheapest way is probably with AirAsia to Phnom Penh and than by bus. I did the bus ride from Bangkok via Poipet. Takes about 13 hours, very taff but afterwards if I think about it, it makes me smile.
