You didnt say what your budget was??? We recently stayed at Bou Savy Guest HouseUS8 with fan, ensuite & good breakfast (choice from menu) orUS14 with air con. Check out my webpages. We arranged through Bou Savy for a guide standardUS20 a day also a driver @ standardUS20 that is an air con Toyota Camry. The GH also has TuK Tuks that work from the GH. Check out their website if you want their direct email address let me know. We had all this booked before we left Australia and we made up our own itinerary otherwise the guides have a standard itinerary. Very friendly & clean gh.

I will also be in Siem Reap on 10 Mar to 13 Mar. I have booked my stay with The Villa @ Siem Reap. It costs US$15 for the standard room with ensuite bathroom and US$30 for the superior room. With regards to taxi driver, I read good review on John Teng, but unfortunately, he is not available during the period I am in Siem Reap. I am still looking for a driver. Which date of Mar will you be in Siem Reap. Max

I recommend the Sofitel Royal Angkor, and use the private tour that the concierge can provide. Tip on my Khett Siem Reab page.

Hi there, Make sure you have a passport size photo with you for the temple pass unless you want them to take a picture of you using a webcam. Temple pass cost US25.00 for 1 Day, US40 for 3 Days and US60 for 1 week. Stayed at Preah Khan Hotel, nice buffet breakfast. If you are into budget hotels, there are some in town. The roads can be dusty, so a if you get a tuk-tuk be ready to face the dust as you travel. Buy a Krama scarf and be like the cambodian. Tuk-Tuk a day may cost you US6. But tuk-tuk might have trouble taking you to Kabel Spean (River of 1000 Lingas) Expect to pay tuk tuk US4 more for sunrise at Angkor! I used the toyota camry, since I was travelling with two 60 year old ladies, and my wife. So 4 in a cab, was good. We paid US25 for whole day (7am - 8pm) Temple closes at 7pm. You may want to purchase the Angkor Guide Book (US4) inside the Angkor Complex. Don't forget the Airport Tax US25.00 for your return trip. Hope this helps...you should check out the "theDouglas" webpage on Virtual Tourist. I took all their advice and it worked out Great!!. Enjoy yourself, If you plan to take photos....go to the temples early to avoid the tourist crowd

We stayed at the Bopha Angkor hotel and have it rated and reviewed on our pages. To date, one of our favorite hotels throughout our month long trek through Asia. We also recomend a wonderful driver who several VT'ers have used and been very satisfied with after they've contacted him through our recomendation. You'll love Cambodia, as travelshoe mentions, go to the temples early to avoid the crowds. Charlie (the guide) knows about photography and is able to also direct you as to best lighting and minimize the coinciding of the tourist and your visit by working with his knowledge of the temples. Enjoy your trip! I envy you, wish I was going back.

By the way, as recommended by a satisfied VTer who stayed at Jasmine Lodge, Mr. Kunn will also act as your guide. His charges are very reasonable.
