HI, I need to get from Siam Reap to Pakse in south Laos fast and cheap. I thought to do it by land through Thailand. What is the fastest way to do it (except flying which is too expensive) ? If I cross the border between Canbodia ans Laos do I need to issue a visa in advance or can I get it at the border (as when crossing from thailand) ? Is there any way to fly cheap between the countries ? (I also consider going to the north of Laos so and was thinking of doing the flights in thailand but all the flights seem to pass via BKK) Thanks EJ
p.s. I was thinking of trveling north from Siam reap to somewhere in Thailand (don't know where is the best to cross but probably not Poi Pet - Aranya Prathetbut somewhere more to the north) and then taking a bus to Ubon Rachatani and crossing to Pakse. Where will it be best to cross ? How long will it take me ? What is the time of the bus etc ? Is there a better way of crossing direct from Cambodia to Laos (and what about the visa) ? Sorry for all the questions EJ
