What hotels have fireplaces/room rates and how does one make a hotel reservation? I stayed in Angangueo several years ago and the hotel had two or three floors, modest rooms but we had a fireplace with wood available...but I cannot remember the name of the hotel. It was a great place to stay.

I am writing an article about the monarchs - and am curious about the availability of water for the butterflies to drink. What is the name of any rivers, ponds or lakes that provide water for the butterflies? It is my understanding that the butterflies are most active in the cool early morning hours - do their wings really make a musical tone when they in large groups to drink water in the morning? Any answers appreciated with thanks and blessings. William (email: williamemarks@aol.com) My VT email is: WilliamMarks@vtmail.com
I would be very grateful for anyone's expert recommendation for a clean and pleasant restaurant in Angangueo to recommend to a group of Americans for lunch. It doesn't have to be luxurious - the group is just passing through, but it needs to be clean (by American standards) and optimally serve Mexican cuisine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. karen.alvarez@dmsmexico.com
Is march too late to watch the monarchs? Some say they are leaving beginning of march, some say end of march...Could anybody tell me if it really worth to go there middle of the month? We will have a car, is there anything else around to visit? We have only 4 days to spend in the area...Business travel break... Thanks and happy new year to all!!!
