Have you been to those caves near Ronda? We thought we'd take a trip, and wondered what type of clothes and shoes to take along. I hear it might be muddy and wet, but not sure how bad it is. Thanks
I went very recently and found the entire experience to be most worth while. The path is mostly on hard surfaces with just a few 'puddles' and so maybe better to wear some good shoes or walking shoes. To reach the entrance you park and climb up a rocky path to begin with and after a few minutes you reach the wooden kiosk where the guide hopefully will be waiting to take you on the next tour which last maybe one hour or more. I waited until others joined and had a coffee so quite ok. We were about 5 in total. Then enter the cave with the door behind being shut so nobody could enter. The paraffin lamps are lit and you start your ascent going through various caverns and some spectacular ancient drawings and of course beautiful rock formations. Once you reach the top you then need to make your way down again the same way. I think you should do this trip because of the ancient history and the place is quite scenic.

Thanks! Just wondering, is it cold enough inside that you need a jacket?

the temperature change from being outside to getting inside the caverns could mean that some warmer clothing is a good idea but this depends on how susceptible to temperature changes the individual person is. I don't think it is worth having an outer coat for example. I was happy in just a long sleeved shirt and you get warmer as you climb up. This is not like going through the cavern from Gato cave. Then you need wet suits and lights and permits !!

Thank you. Now i've already been there now today. We took along a thin jacket, but didn't use it. Fantastic place!
