We’re going to be heading to Anaheim/San Diego for a week in May… we’ll be going to Disneyland & Sea World… but what I would love is some “insider” info on interesting, unique, adventures things to do…. Id love to know about a few really unique places to eat… also what is distinctive to the area that would be Adventurous… any suggestions???
Not an adventure, but the best breakfast or meal - Arthur's in Downey ... see tip under Downey, Calif restaurants.

Don't forget Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park and the many rides and restaurants on the property in Buena Park, just a few miles from Anaheim. See website: www.knotts.com Also in Buena Park is the battle of the knights of old at the Medieval Times dinner/theatre. See website: www.medievaltimes.com Next door to the knights are the pirates, same basis. See:www.piratesdinneradventure.com Down Harbor Blvd. to Newport Beach, Balboa Island, and the beach cities.

You could stop by Temecula and check out some wineries. Temecula is north of San Diego on the 15 freeway. There is also the mission at San Juan Capistrano. If you like nature take the Ortega Highway to the CLeveland National Forest.

Catch the ferry out of Newport Harbor and head to Catalina Island--about a 1 hr trip. On the island you can snorkel, scuba dive, parasail, kayak, do an interior island jeep tour--lots of adventurous things. Check out www.catalina.com. Downtown Disney (outside of Disneyland but still part of the Resort) has several fun places to eat and is fun to walk around.
