Please help - Long Beach cruise terminal to LAX

by oztravelbug Online Now Jul 7, 2005 at 12:48 AM

We are finishing our Mexican cruise in Long Beach and will need to return to LAX, how can we get there without too much hassle? It doesn't seem worth it to hire a car just for a couple of hours! Also how long should we allow? We will have about 9 spare hours before our flight, any suggestions for what to do, would like to have a look round Beverly Hills,as will have spent our time in LA at Anaheim(coming from Australia) but will have all our luggage with us. Thanks for any help.

American VIP Tours and Limousines ( has private customized sightseeing tours of the Los Angeles Beach Cities including Long Beach, San Pedro, Marina Del Rey, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood and the movie star homes. These are narrated private charter tours with car & driver. You can do a combination tour, a sightseeing tour around Los Angeles with a drop-off a LAX airport. Doing it that way can burn off several hours instead of waiting at airports.
You can stay as little as you want at any location or stay as long as you want. The tours are conducted in either a Lincoln Town Car sedan or a Ford full-sized luxury van. You need at least 5 hours to see Los Angeles or any of the destinations and sites due to the distances and the traffic you have to deal with in the Los Angeles Metro area. Then if you want to take an extended stop at a place or site you have the flexibility to do it. On the average it is 50-60 dollars an hour and you get a nice car or van, no whining or crying kids, and you can sit back with an adult beverage, a perfect way to go sightseeing before leaving Los Angeles.
