I know this is not the place to asking about education, but I was looking to apply for a masters course in 3d animation in Amsterdam, and couldn't find any (if anyone knows of a college or uni with such courses please tell me) so instead I found such courses in the Utrecht University which means I might be moving there if I it is the next best decision. I'm obviously not choosing this in terms of university's importance but more rather to do with the location. I live in Lebanon right now, so I'm wondering in general, what life is like in Utrecht compared to life in Amsterdam?

Hey guys! Are there any American backpackers in Amsterdam this week or the next?
I am travelling to Amsterdam this weekend for 3 days. I will land on the Schiphol Airport Friday night and return from Schiphol Airport on Monday night and I will be staying near Amsterdam RAI station for whole of my stay. I am travelling with my 2 year daughter.
I am planning to spend one day in Keukenhof, another day in Zaanse Schans and one day in amsterdam city vising attractions and canal trip.
Please can you suggest the best way to travel to these places from my hotel and also travel from/to airport. Is it any good taking three day pass. Will it be valid on travel to Keukenhof/Zaanse Schans
Also any other suggestions to places to see while in Amsterdam.
All suggestions welcome
Thanks in advance for all your help
Andy
If I buy a dated same day return ticket, can I use it for more than once in each direction on the same day? That is, from airport to city, then another trip back to airport and back to city.

I would like to visit Amserdam / Rotterdam with my wife and two children in June, Could anyone please advise me about affordable accommodation in Amsterdam/Rotterdam for two to three days. Also about cheap travel facility there.
I may need to make a local call either at the Schiphol Airport or Centraal Station. Is it true that the public phone do not accept coins? How do I go about if I do not want to buy a phonecard? How much is a local call?
I have tried to book a room at the hotel Estherea and the prices are 490 euros for the first 2 nights, 400 euros for the third night and then it goes down to 245 Euros. I don't understand why there is such a huge difference in prices. Another VT friend paid about 200Euros per night last year. I wonder if there is a special event that would justify these prices. Way over my budget anyway :-)
1) Is it recommended to visit both locations in one day (Saturday 13 April) ?
2) Any recommended tour company doing this ?
3) How to travel if going by public transport ?
Is there a central place that vendors at the flower market (between Konigsplein and Muntplein) would send lost and found items to? I'm trying to find my iPhone that was lost.
Is it safe for a 20 year old female to trave from US to Amsterdam/Rotterdam alone? I hear a lot about "the red light district" And other scary stories. I have a friend who lives in Rotterdam, but I have never been there, I have never been out of The USA. I am going to go in September and just wanted to know if anyone thinks its a good idea or a bad idea? I rather much travel alone and have a adventure, I just don't want to be taken or killed while trying to enjoy a amazing 2 week vacation!

So, I wonder are these 2 places very near to each other?
Anyone can kindly advise me the address of the Central Station in Amsterdam?
Thank you very much.
Hello, can someone advise where the Viking River Cruise departure location is. Also, we are considering staying at a central hotel location and there are several located not far/south from the central station. Is this a good area for hotels to be close to the normal tourist haunts?
Thanks in advance.
I am travelling to Amsterdam {Schipol} on 02/04 - 06/04, and wanted to know the most cost effective way to purchase train tickets to Amsterdam Central. I am staying in a hotel near to the airport, likely to travel everyday. There are four in my party 2 adults and 2 youths (20 and 17). Thank you?
I along with my wife and 2 kids (aged 7 and 4) are travelling to Amsterdam from London end of next week. We are interested in the weather, keukenhof for Tulip, Madurodom miniature place, Amsterdam city sightseeing. Considering that I will have 1/2 day on saturday, 1 day Sunday and 1/2 day on monday for my trip, what is the best way to cover the important ones? We were thinking of doing the Amsterdam sightseeing on first day - please suggest best ones that I can cover. Second day to Madurodom and third day for keukenhof and take the return flight. How is the above itinerary looks like? Suggest transportation options also., will renting a car be better or I can tour packages - what will be the cost benefit? If I rent a car is parking, roads, traffic manageable and good?
I am a 24 year old female who will be in Amsterdam on 4th and 5th April 2013. Do I have to book a sightseeing tour in advance or can I book one when I am there please?

What are some things I can do in the evening and still get back to Schiphol on time for my connection? I have also never transfered from Non-Schengen to Schengen so if you have advice or directions to go along with it, it would be greatly appreciated.
