You need this website: http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/ Possibly your Dutch may be good enough to use the Dutch version, which is slightly better: http://www.9292ov.nl/ Simply put in your accommodation address in Amsterdam and your sister's address and it will tell you which train and bus to take. Without these details the general route is: train either to Alkmaar or Hoorn and bus from there. The trip is about 1 hour 40 minutes and would cost you about 12 euro all in all (one way).
