Yes there are. Try to find the yellow machines from the NS. Here you can buy tickets and fill the Ov.

And...... you can use the ov chipkaart as well in the tram and bus. So buy an ov kaart.

Used to be able to purchase ye olde strippenkaart in a store at Schiphol. Do any of the stores currently sell day passes for the tram/bus, or must those be purchased from machines?
    Not interested in train tickets.
    I have a chipkaart. Don't need another.

An anonymous OV Chipkaart can be bought at the train ticket counter. You can have it enabled for train and/or bus/tram/metro use. Train usage requires a higher credit on the card. The card is Euro 7.50 and it needs an additional credit (I suggest to start with Euro 20.00).

Recharging can be done at the yellow machines that were mentioned, but you need a bank card/credit card that is accepted by these machines.

If you have an ov card you do not need anything else. You can use this as well in bus and tram.

AT Schiphol buses are run by Connexxion- these sell their OWN daycards-ONLY after 9.00 mo-fr-from driver-they are for 2 persons, nanme is BUZZER, cost is now 14 eur and valid on all of Connexxion-as far as Arnhem-Nijmegen- BUS only!!
Most likely tthese are NOT the ones you want- as you talk about trams etc.
That is likely for GVB= Amsterdam citybus/tram/metro.
Daypasses for these are ONLY sold In Amsterdam- 1 day from tram conductors too- the longer terms only from GVB-offcie or Metro-machines.
Contrary to what anyone always thinks, there is NO need to go all the way to Central and come back maybe half the way- AMS has 11 trainstations. ZUID has more trains, a shorter ride=lower price, and a GVB-office, and links with tram 5 and metro 50/51
IF you have felt it needed to shell out that 7,50- for a chipcard- then you can also load the daypass on it.

My chipkaart is set. I have over 9,00 euro on it, enough to get me into town on bus 197.
I was asking about the bus pass for a friend.

    Thanks
