Hi folks
Would like any info on watching football and rugby in the bars which are the best ,most popular without moving too far out of central Amsterdam.

There's one at the Max Euwe plein (square). That's just East of the Leidseplein square in the direction of the Vondelpark.
Downtown there are several Irish Pubs, that always show sports (Zeedijk and Warmoesstraat areas).

yes when in doubt the omnipresent Irish bars will lead you to it, plenty around centraal and towards city along the canals to watch it. If not the bar at your own hotel....

The Tara on the Rokin, really big irish bar, really nice inside, i would say thats a good bet.
