Hi, I'm planning a one day trip to Kuekenhoff from Brussels on 20'th April . The Thyls trains are available up to Rotterdam only on that day. Which is the shortest and easiest route to reach Leiden/ Schipole from Rotterdam?. As the Kuekenhof buses pick up points are from these two stations. Thanks in advance
Hello, it's quite simple. Once you arrive in Rotterdam there are 2 options. Take a train from Rotterdam to Leiden and a bus from there. Or travel from Rotterdam to Schiphol (by train) and take a bus from there. www.keukenhof.nl tells you this: "During the season of Keukenhof there are direct bus connections from Schiphol Airport (busline 858) and Leiden Central Station (busline 854)."
Enjoy!

Dutch train schedules can be found at http://www.ns.nl/en/travellers/home

You could also explore the option of taking the Eurolines bus from Brussels to Amsterdam. It takes 2.5 to 3 hours or so.

Thalys stop at S'hol too-thats thus by far the easiest method. Timings on 9292 are only some 2-3 weeks advance- and as this hof is very seasonal, they are not yet on now. Besides: at the usual times to go there the throngs are so big, that the buses line up -fill up-and go. All times are purely theorie. Buy all-in ticket before from the vans. Thalys is indeed the only direct link and can be superexpensive if you do not book long before and stick to booked train. Otherwsie there willl be the local train BRUssel-Rotterdam-den Haag- NMBS mostly also sells 1 day all-in tickets to Keukenhof.

What makes you think that Thalys is not available till Schiphol on that day? As far as I can see it is. So just buy a return ticket Brussel - Schiphol, and take the bus to Keukenhof from there.
