Will have a car, appreciate advice as to our visit to Afrodisias. After night in Selcuk am thinking best to visit this site on way to our accom in Pamukkale? Is it better to visit Hieropolis on way to Afrodisias? Or do we do H from Pamukkale, as a side trip?... next morning best route,and how long to reach Fethiye? Hi, We are planing to visit Amasya in August. From Batumi, Georgia, Travson, and Amasya. Later I want to go to Amasra and I am trying to figure out the best transport options. 1) Does anyone know if there is a direct bus from Amasya to Amasra? (We don't plan to stop in Sinop this time.) 2) Otherwise, which route is best to Amasra? I hope somebody out there can help me out, Thanks!
I'm planning to spend four nights in Amasya in September ... will be arriving late in the day first night, so want to get organised in advance. I've been looking at hotels there .... the small hotels in Ottoman buildings look very atmospheric, but I wondered how comfortable they are? I'll be travelling on my own so will almost certainly end up in the smallest room. Can anyone tell me if there are Ottoman style hotels with decent size rooms and all mod cons (aircon and reasonable bathroom)? Or would I need to choose a modern hotel to be comfortable? All advice will be appreciated
Turkish airlines began regular flights from Istanbul to Amasya Merzifon airport a couple of years ago. I am planning a trip there but have not been able to find any information about a Havaş or similar bus service from the airport into Amasya center. I've learned that the airport is 46 km outside the town center - so I really dont want to use a taxi. Does anyone know if there is a bus service of any kind? The flight is due to arrive at 18.00.
I know there is bus from 1) Kayseri to Amasya and bus from 2)Amasya to Ankara, then from Ankara to Safranbolu The 1) bus runs from 15:30, so it is a little bit late to arrive Amasya, not a big problem though. And the 2) seems quite time consuming, and as it need changes of bus. Are these the best way to do? If so, can anyone please give me some hints on the bus schedule of 2)? As I hope I can arrive Safranbolu by making better plan.=] Thanks so much!
