Hi, we are planning to visit Amalfi coast in July ,could anyone suggest how it will be if we stay in Praiano.i don't know a much about the destination. we would prefer a place with nice surroundings. thanx
Praiano is a nice place, with a good view over the sea and the Amalfi coast, some good restaurants, and nice walks in the surrounding. Personally. Ravello is by far the most preferred place for staying, but it's further away up on the hills. Cheers gmg

A lot depends on what else you are planning to do. Praiano is lovely if you are going to relax and enjoy the beach, but if you want to visit the islands, somewhere like Sorrento might suit you better. From Sorrento you can do day trips to Naples with its museums, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and other islands, or south to Amalfa coast. From Praiano you would need to go elsewhere to pick up these trips.
