From the Photo on their website, I would say no, although it looks like they have a terrace / patio. http://bahnhotel-huebel.com/

I might book a coach tour from the UK that uses this hotel. Is there much to see and do in the local area? I like the idea of it being near a railway station. Any idea where the line goes to from there. regards, Pete

you can get almost anywhere from Altenahr although you may need to change trains depending on where you want to go? Dusseldorf, Bonn, boppard ? to name a few

Nope, no balconies. Actually no hotel anymore. As of December 2007, the hotel closed due to the death of the husband of the hotel owner. I lived in Altenahr for a year and had close connections with the hotel and other places in the town. Good places to eat - not only the Italian but also the Greek place next to the train station. Cheap and friendly service although the people there (friends of mine) do not speak English.
