    • Faro airport to Pestana Alvor Praia

      Alvor Yesterday

      Hi there
Can anyone recommend airport shuttle/transfer companies from Faro to Alvor and give an estimate of how much I should pay for return trip?

I'll be there for the 1st week of July and would recommend any interesting trips/sights! We love the beach, walking, shopping but not into watersports!

      Many thanks! :-)

Me and my other half are travelling to Albufeira at the start of December. I know it is the quiet time of year but I am assuming there will be restaurants/pubs/clubs open? We are going Self Catering, so need to know what there is as an option.

      Thanks

    • Praia D'Oura Supermarkets / restuarants.

      Oura Jun 10, 2013 at 2:32 PM

      Hi,

Is there anyone who has been to Praia D'Oura Portugal. We are setting off in 3 days time.
I wondered if anyone has any tips on best supermarkets to avail of? We are renting a villa,
so will be spending a good percentage of the holiday eating at the accomodation: We also
have no car rented - yet paying for a taxi to cart bags of shopping is of course an obvious
option (if not within walking distance with bags in tow): Therefore, what would be our best
supermarket option with a wide good choice/selection? We are staying within close proximity
(approx 200 yards) to the main Praia D'Oura strip.

Also, would there be any recommended restuarants within that particular area (as we would venture
out a few occasions (to break up the two weeks - and not have to cook/prepare food on what is meant
      to be a relaxing holiday!!!).

      Thanks in advance,

      Jim

    • Lagos in September

      Lagos May 1, 2013 at 11:44 AM

I'm thinking of taking a trip with two of my friends to Lagos in September. We're in our mid-twenties and would be going for the beach scene and night life. My only concerns are:

      1) the weather - will it still be nice in early September (6th - 15th)?
      2) the atmosphere - will there still be people our age visiting/partying?

If you've been there during this time of year, please shed some insight - it would be much appreciated.

      Thanks!

When I visited Albufeira 3 years ago I noticed, that most of the people going out on the strip were tourists. So now I wonder if anyone knows some bars or cafes, where it is more Portuguese and where the young local people would hang out?

      Tavira Mar 27, 2013 at 4:46 AM

Hi, we're considering Tavira for a week in April (8th - 15th to be exact), but are just a bit concerned about the weather/temperature. I've looked at averages for the month which tend to suggest between 10 - 20 C, and I suppose I'm looking for some assurances that it will be likely to be warm and pleasant at that time of year?? I'm thinking probably not warm enough to swim in the sea, but nice enough to sit-out/walk/sunbathe?
We've never been before, so would also appreciate some hints on where to stay - I'm looking at self catering but not sure whether tavira itself, or along the coast at Santa Luzia? Many thanks for any tips or information.
