Can anyone recommend airport shuttle/transfer companies from Faro to Alvor and give an estimate of how much I should pay for return trip?
I'll be there for the 1st week of July and would recommend any interesting trips/sights! We love the beach, walking, shopping but not into watersports!
Many thanks! :-)
The ? Is quarteira or Tavira ? Mature couple like peace and quiet and beaches, good food and the odd glass of wine.
And maybe a bit of shopping. Cantmakeupmymind. Help!
Can I get a bus from Lagos to Praia da Rocha
Me and my other half are travelling to Albufeira at the start of December. I know it is the quiet time of year but I am assuming there will be restaurants/pubs/clubs open? We are going Self Catering, so need to know what there is as an option.
Will be travelling to Portugal soon, Vale de Parra area. We are staying at the Villa Jasmim. Wondering if anyone knows the location on Google Maps?
what is the easiest way to get to Seville in Spain from Tavira for a day trip-if Seville is too far away is there any other cities, towns or villages that are easier to access
Is there anyone who has been to Praia D'Oura Portugal. We are setting off in 3 days time.
I wondered if anyone has any tips on best supermarkets to avail of? We are renting a villa,
so will be spending a good percentage of the holiday eating at the accomodation: We also
have no car rented - yet paying for a taxi to cart bags of shopping is of course an obvious
option (if not within walking distance with bags in tow): Therefore, what would be our best
supermarket option with a wide good choice/selection? We are staying within close proximity
(approx 200 yards) to the main Praia D'Oura strip.
Also, would there be any recommended restuarants within that particular area (as we would venture
out a few occasions (to break up the two weeks - and not have to cook/prepare food on what is meant
to be a relaxing holiday!!!).
Thanks in advance,
Me and my husband, two children aged 6 + 10 are staying here in two weeks time.
After reading some reviews I am worried worried that there's not going to be . Much for the children to do. We're all inclusive so will spend a lot of time here. Anyone stayed at the Real Bellavista hotel and spa?
Thanks :-) x
We are trying to book accomodation in Albufeira in November. There seems to be a distinct lack of spaces available. We
have stayed here before several times but never in November. Is there something happening that we don't know about? Hope you can advise, thanks!
I'm going to Lagos on the 19th of September for a week and am just wondering whether the bars and clubs
Are all still open and whether they are busy? If anyone has being around this time of year I would be grateful If you could let me know!! Thanks :)
I'm thinking of taking a trip with two of my friends to Lagos in September. We're in our mid-twenties and would be going for the beach scene and night life. My only concerns are:
1) the weather - will it still be nice in early September (6th - 15th)?
2) the atmosphere - will there still be people our age visiting/partying?
If you've been there during this time of year, please shed some insight - it would be much appreciated.
Going to Montechero in August. Is there a naturist beach in walking distance or will I need a car to access
I'm considering going to Lagos on my own and hope to use buses to get around. Just wondering if this is a good way to travel and if so the best places to visit in easily commutable distance. Any other tips would be most welcome, thanks :o)
hi all we have booked flights for August time but dont have any accomodation booked yet, we are staying for 10 days, can anyone advise wheres best to stay. Our children are 14, 12 & 5?? we have never been to portugal before so not familiar with the resorts. Thanks in advance peeps :)
Evening good people of Albufeira. Group of 6 going to be staying in your fair town in late June. Keen on a couple of rounds of golf, and maybe some clay shooting and quad biking. I'd really appreciate it if someone could recommend some establishments local to Oura da Prai.
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone advise on the above please, outbound Jun 1stm return Jun 4th?
Any help much appreciated.
I was in Lagos last Easter and noticed it was that lively at night and I'm planning a stag party there in mid to late June and wondered if this was a busy time of year and if all of the Bars/Clubs would be open?
When I visited Albufeira 3 years ago I noticed, that most of the people going out on the strip were tourists. So now I wonder if anyone knows some bars or cafes, where it is more Portuguese and where the young local people would hang out?
It seems Balaia-Sol Apartments are closed during winter. Anyone knows when will it open for this year season? Thanks.
Me and my brother cannot decide between going to Lagos or Faro on our trip. We understand that they are close together but we are only able to make a short stop in Portugal so we want to pick on one. Thanks in advance!
Can I get from Aljezur to Faro airport by public transport before 14.00?
How can I get from Aljezur to Faro airport before 14.00?
Was going to book on Oceanus Aparthotel but saw very bad recent reviews on TripAdvisor about some works going on. Can you recommend similar resorts in Albufeira? Same league and price range. Thanks.
My son is going to a tennis tournament in the Balaia Tennis Club in Albufeira. Is there any hotel walking distance from the club?
I'm about to book a trip to the sunny Algarve. Lagos or Albufeira. It seems Lagos is not so crowded but more expensive. I'll book self catering. Pros and cons of both towns please.
We've booked a villa on millionaire's row for our holiday this year and i'm a bit worried about the safety of the area after reading about burglaries and muggings. Does this happen frequently in the area?
I've seen good reviews about Balaia Sol apartments. What kind of activities can we expect to have in and around the spot? We are a mature couple without children.
I am planning for Faro in end of May, say by 28 May and planning to stay till 1 June.. is the weather good for beach and head for swimming then.
Looking for recommendations on a good 3star aparthotel (self catering) in Albufeira. Going in late April.
Hi, we're considering Tavira for a week in April (8th - 15th to be exact), but are just a bit concerned about the weather/temperature. I've looked at averages for the month which tend to suggest between 10 - 20 C, and I suppose I'm looking for some assurances that it will be likely to be warm and pleasant at that time of year?? I'm thinking probably not warm enough to swim in the sea, but nice enough to sit-out/walk/sunbathe?
We've never been before, so would also appreciate some hints on where to stay - I'm looking at self catering but not sure whether tavira itself, or along the coast at Santa Luzia? Many thanks for any tips or information.
