Is there a train service from Aleppo to Palmyra? Also is it a stupid idea to take the train from Aleppo to Damascus for a day, return at night? Will there be enough time to check a couple of important sights in Damascus within those few hours?
Parev There isn,t train to Palmyra from Aleppo directly , you must go Homs 200km from Aleppo. You can go by morning train at4:10am or 5:20am to Damascus it take about 5 hours and then have your day in Damascus after go by bus to Homs about 150km and from there you can take bus to Palmyra and then back Homs and Aleppo best wishes
