Hi, I'm traveling to Albufeira at the end of June/early July with a group of friends - we are all eighteen - for a post exam holiday. We have heard that the Strip in the New Town is best for nightlife and so we are trying to find a hotel that is located there. So far we have only found hotels which are closer to the Old Town which is obviously quite far from the strip. Are there any hotels which you would recommend that are located in the heart of the night life? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Vila Nova Apartments are actually on the 'strip' as is the Hotel Aldeia. Any hotel or apartment hotel with the word 'Oura' in it will not be more than 5 minutes walk. The Old Town is only 1.5 miles from the strip but perhaps a bit too far to walk after a really good night given that the whole area is very hilly. A taxi to anywhere here would not be more than 5 Euros. One thing, do find a place with a safe for your valuable and leave the smartphones, Ipods, surplus cash etc in it when you go out for the night. if you must have a phone with you at all times, buy a £20 one you can afford to lose. I'm not saying that it is a particularly dangerous area, but there are far too many tales of tourists being robbed of stuff they really don't need to have with them! Take care and enjoy your trip.

Every time i go to Albufeira o stay at Clube Praia Da Oura, why not look it up, its not far from the stip, only down the hill and the beach is next door, has a big pool. sauna, Jacuzzi, everything you need, their sister hotel oura praia is at the top of the hill slighly closer to the strip, if you want somewhere could to eat try donaldo's on the stip, and lili's snack bar which is further round past the oura praia hotel does the best green sangria :) few jugs of thats and you dont care about anything lol

All places will still be open and you will still be able to have a good party. They will be less crowded though and... more
flights are expensive that's a given but if you got the dough and time/schedule tight, go for it by all means thru... more
