Hi Folks, I will be staying in Albufeira for 4 days at the end of February - is the weather ok for T Shirts (especially at night) and is there much night life at this time of the year? Thanks in advance. Gaz

It might be ok for t shirts, but most likely you will need a jumper and mabye a light jacket. It can be wet that time a year and you should expect a bit of wind too, so prepare for both. With luck you might get real nice weather though.

Look at our climate around the year at www.meteo.pt/en/oclima/acompanhamento/index.jsp?selTipo=m&selVar=tx&selAna=me&selAno=-1 and judge by yourself, for me T-shirt in February is unthinkable during the day. It's winter so things are quiet, however there's always something to do and see at a place like Albufeira.

Being from Scotland, you may feel like t-shirts in the daytime and maybe at night too (but only inside). It's pretty much UK summer daytime temps over this weekend, though a bit chillier later in the week, but it can rain of course. General climate info here: albufeira.com/weather/defaul...

Well let's hope it's better at the end of February than it has been this past couple of weeks! It might be nice enough in the daytime for just a tee shirt (the resident Portuguese will think you are mad) but I doubt it and once the sun goes down it can feel pretty cold and quickly. Rainy days more often than not at this time of year. Most of the tourist night life doesn't get going until April, but there are are couple of places open all year round in the old town part of Albufeira plus the bars that us residents go to. I don't know about the other end of town (that bit called 'the strip' for tourists) but recent comments suggest not much will be open over there.

We spent February half term there 8 years ago. It was gorgeous. Coolish at night but very much tee-short weather during the day. An ex-pat said that it wasn't always as good at that time of year, but it wasn't unusual.
