if I have scandinavia rail pass, could I get discount or free of charge for the following routes? 1. rail from night train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi? 2. day train from Oslo to Bergen 3. Talling Silja ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki?
What is the best way to get to Mikkeli from the north of england - ideally flying from manchester or east midlands airports?
As someone who works in wholesale travel, I have booked super cheap flights to Europe with QF/AY on a travel agent special.
I am concerned about the short transit time in HEL though. Anyone offer any tips on whether they have achieved the transit? I have heard that HEL is a good quick airport.

Hi Will be arriving in Helsinki on cruise ship on 10th May will only have a few hours about 7 to discover the beautiful city, am happy to walk so please can anyone give me ideas to make the most of my time here,thanks x
I'm in Rovaniemi for one day tomorrow and wanted to visit Arktikum in the morning and then travel to Ranua Zoo at about 1300. Based on the Ranua website, this should have been possible, however, as tomorrow is Ascension day, the usual 1320 bus isn't running so I would have to catch the 845 bus and come back at 1017 (which only gives me half an hour at the zoo) or at 1720 (in which case Arktikum will be closed). I've had a look at car rentals but these are expensive. Is there any other way to get there by public transport? Or is someone heading that way around 1300 so that I can catch a ride there? Any suggestions/advice appreciated here or to marzlmr@gmail.com.
Are there car ferries to Aland? I'd like to travel from Sweden to Aland and on to Finland, so I'm trying to find out if I need to leave a rental behind in Sweden, take a ferry to Aland and then on to Finland, and pick-up a new rental in Finland - or - if I can take a car the whole route. Thanks!
I plan staying in Aland 2nights from Helsinki but lm so confused right now about the Viking/Silja line... okay I will start from Helsinki (on Sun 23 April 2006) to Aland then Aland (on 25 April) to Stockholm... My wife and I are planning a visit to the Åland Islands in June, 2004. We shall be using public transport and I shall have the timetables for buses and ferries. We should like to stay on a b-and-b basis in farms or guesthouses and we should want to be near Mariemhahm for a few nights for proximity to buses. We should appreciate any information or suggestions.
