Hi everyone, I'll be attending courses in Kent State University for 6 monhts. I can stay in Akron or Kent. I'll appreciate any info on this cities on: Apartment rents Entertainment Weather Social activities Daily Costs....vs Which city would u prefer to live?
If you are going to Kent State, why not stay in Kent and avoid a drive. Both cities are comparable for all the above criterion you mentioned, and if you want to go to Akron, it is not too far away. The only advantage to Akron is the AA baseball team. They have a wonderful park, and it is inexpensive to go. Both are college towns and offer all diversions of college towns. Akron is larger, and has more bridge clubs. Nick in Alaska

Hi, If you are attending classes in Kent, I would recommend living there. Prices are very comparable with Akron. If you will be here for the winter, I would bring many warm clothes. Costs in both cities are pretty reasonable.
