Train to Aix

I will be in Lyon for a few days and after that to Aix. Is it better to take a train to Marseille and change to bus to arrive in Aix town as my hotel is near the bus station. Or TGV direct to Aix, but have to go to TGV station and then transfer probably by bus to Aix town. Which is the most convenient having a big luggage. Thanks.
