I'm going to Airlie Beach for a short stop over by myself next week - Is snorkelling the only thing to do there? Would appreciate any suggestions for activities and cool places to hook up with people while I'm there?
Hi, in Airlie Beach you can also do parasailing, skydiving, jetskiing and some other watersports. There are lots of backpackers hostels, bars and pubs always full of people looking for fun. Cheers, Maria

Yes you can do all of the above as well as day trips out to the islands and reefs. Airlie is very much a young persons party destination. Though there is plenty for families and the older set to do as well. Magnums is a popular night club.
