Hi, I'm wanting to go to Airlie(Shute Harbour) (from Switzerland) for 4nights in Oct & stay in a double room with ensuite. Has anyone stayed in this type of room lately (not a dorm)that is clean, has a pool & central? Aircon would be a bonus. Some of the reviews I have read scare me!

I have 2 tips for backpacking accomodation on my Airlie page. One is Magnum's and can't remember the other. Have just updated my Airlie page and was up there 2 weeks ago. You could also stay at the Airlie Beach Hotel which is a multi story hotel but has cheap and clean rooms out the back. There is a photo and info of this place on my page. I stayed there last year and it was quite OK but a little basic. Hope this helps...
