Hello fine people, would anybody happen to know if Agra train station has a holding place for luggage... I will be travelling from Delhi to Agra (for a day trip0 and then getting a train to Jaipur that night and I don't feel like lugging backpacks around. Thank you :-D
Yes, Agra Fort train station has holding facility for your luggage. As Agra fort trainstation will be the one which you will take your train to Jaipur. But is not western style metal boxes tho. It is one big room with lots of shelfs, where atendant stores your luggage. You might want to get yourself good lock and chain for your backpacks before you hand your luggage to the atendant. The price is Rs 20 per hour or Rs 100 for 24hrs. The Luggae room is located on lane 1 next to the Chif Station Master office. On your right when you enter the departure at trainstation itself. There is also first % second Class waiting lounge, which is quite nice... One thing tho, of all the train stations I have been in India, Agra is the most drtiest. At night time lots of rats have a nice long walk on the trainlanes., beware of those pesky crriters..

Excellent - thank you... I had assumed it would have but I have learnt to never assume anything ;-) Also thank you for the idea of chaining the backpacks together - I would not have thought of that but it is a very good idea and ensures our luggage stays together and is probably harder to lose that way too!! thank you
