Hello everyone. I am looking for a character hotel in Agra - perhaps a haveli or something along those lines - i.e. not a modern block. All I need is one room for one night in December 2006 - I will be arriving in Agra by train, so need somewhere reasonably close to the station. (I'll be collecting a car and driver to go and visit the sights, so it's not important to be close to them.) Can anyone recommend somewhere small, friendly, clean and historic (not asking much, am I?!)?
Hi there, Though I cant help you with your actual question, I just want to inform you that Agra and Fatehpur Sikri are a day trip from Delhi. There are a lot of tour operators from Delhi that arrange this. As this is the peak tourist season, the hotels can get expensive and booked. Probably you should consider the day trip instead of staying over for a night. Hope you get your original question answered. Cheers
