Can i have a help regarding the airport procedures in dammam airport. just a brief step to step procedures departing from dammam airport because it will be my first time to depart along with my kid. your help will be much appreciated..thanks.
Hi, Departure procedures are pretty much straight forward at the Dammam airport. Baggage Check, Passenger Check-in, Security Check and Immigration (I may have switched the last 2, as my last trip out was via bus to Bahrain). There's a big waiting lounge after Immigration, with some snack kiosks and a small duty free shopping area. The male/female segregation still applies, and better keep your abaya on. I just don't remember anymore if we paid any airport tax. Being also a mother travelling with a kid, I've encountered at lot of helpful people in my previous trips to/from the Middle East. Though entering the King Fahd airport building in particular, porters helping with your baggage are expecting some tip/gratuity. Ingat!
