Do the hotels take major credit cards?
The bigger Hotels like Novotel, La Palm, Labadi Beach, Golden Tulip etc all do accept major credit cards.
Be very circumspect when using a credit card elsewhere,apart from banks. Paying a customers Hotel bill at the Niagara Hotel some years ago got me into a lot of trouble, someone stole the data and tried paying purchases in the US with my ID.

large international hotel accept major credit cards and it works. Using credit cards in other places like shops and restaurants does not work very well. The machine may deny the transaction three times, then you go to the ATM. When you receive your credit card bill, you see that even if it was denied, you have paid three times, + the cash part!
