      Overnight desert camping

by illini98 Online Now Sep 26, 2015 at 12:13 PM

I will be spending a week in Abu Dhabi in October and would like to do an overnight trip in the desert- nothing fancy like an oasis resort, but just a fun night in tents and to experience a night in that vastness! Any recommendations? Thanks!

    • restaurant in oosterse sfeer

by andreaputzeys Online Now Jun 20, 2015 at 7:53 AM

by greg-19641 Online Now Apr 30, 2015 at 10:26 AM

I will be visiting Abu Dhabi for the first time staying 1 week, playing some golf and getting around to see some places as well as go to Dubai for the day and wanted to make sure I was prepared upon arriving appropriate attire that is exceptionable to wear considering I look like a drenched wash cloth in hot weather.
Golfing attire I hope I am capable to wear shorts and nice button up. Anyone have recommendations.

      Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I are going to Abu Dhabi for a day. We want to visit the main attractions but in a low budget way, since we are backpackers. So, how people usually get around Abu Dhabi?
What is it best: get a taxi (or even public transportation.. still dont know if it has it) or get a one day tour?

    • Staying in Abu Dhabi as a young couple

by seaseasea Online Now Jan 21, 2015 at 8:20 AM

My boyfriend and I are planning on visiting Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the end of February. His uncle lives there and we are going to visit him and his girlfriend. However I am not quite familiar with how couples should behave when visiting. I read that showing affection in public is not the best idea, and I also read that unmarried couples shouldn't sleep in the same hotel room. So I am wondering if you have any advices about how couples (we are students) should behave and if it's a problem if we stay at their place. I hope not. Thank you in advance! :)

    • Amazing restaurant

by MCLF Online Now Nov 6, 2013 at 9:45 AM

Can anyone recommend a great restaurant for an early dinner? I'm staying on a Friday but my flight is at 10PM that night so I'll be dinning early around 6PM.

    • Beach / nice hotel for 20 hour transit

by MCLF Online Now Nov 6, 2013 at 9:11 AM

I have a long transit in Abu Dhabi. I arrive at 1AM and my flight leaves the same day at 10PM on route to Sydney. I'd like to stay in a nice hotel where I can relax, use the pool, maybe go to one of the private beaches, maybe venture out to a restaurant. I realise it's not particularly cultural of me but I really just want to relax before the long flight so not too fussed about seeing the sights. I've emailed a few hotels but they all seem intent on charging me for two nights accommodation because I'll be checking in late.

Can anyone recommend one where I can check out in the afternoon but still use some of the hotel facilities until I have to go back to the airport.

      Thanks so much!

by borneobound Online Now Nov 5, 2013 at 12:52 AM

I want to relax and swim after a long flight, go shopping & do a tour before i head off to see a friend in Oman. Most of all i want to feel comfortable e.g eating out alone. I do NOT want to be mistaken for a prostitute - sorry but I spent an eight hour flight from London next to an appalling man who spent the entire flight extolling the various virtues of various high end Abu Dhabi hotels for their amazing selection of Russian girls to a poor UK Abu Dhabi student .. Kind of put me right off Abu Dhabi and I now worry about staying there.. is it safe?

Hi, my husband, baby and I want to fly to Phuket soon, there's excellent fares with ariberlin, however there's a layover in Abu Dabhi and my husband and baby both hold Israeli citizenship (our child has dual Israeli and German though). Do you know if it is possible to take a flight with a layover in the UAE with an Israeli Passport?
