Abu Dhabi Beaches

by laylaSofia Online Now Aug 2, 2006 at 4:08 PM

I was wandering if there are any inexpensive beaches. I had heard that it was safe to go to public beaches in the mornings as they tend to be empty. is that true?

There is a public beach on the Corniche next to the Hiltonia Beach club, and two more next to each other at the rear of the Emirates Palace Hotel. All are perfectly safe and they are quieter early mornings. All are free. We used the public beach behind the hotel today and it was great, fairly quiet. There is a free car park all the way along the beach. the one on the Corniche is difficult to park at as the Hiltonia Beach club only has limited parking, but it is on the main taxi run to Marina Mall so taxis are never a problem. The Ladies only Beach is now closed as there is a new development being built on the site and the public beach at AL RAHA on the Dubai Road is also closed for redevelopment. Malcolm
