I am going to relocate to Abu Dhabi this September. And I am going to ask my employer to cover superannuation as part of my whole package. Would you please tell me what is the normal scheme and super scheme of superannuation? Thanks a lot. By the way, are there any scheme to cover unemployment insurance/compensation in terms of UAE labor law? How much does it cost?
There's no superannuation scheme nationally, so it will depend on your individual employer. There is a requirement for severance pay after one year or more of employment. There's no unemployment insurance/compensation. Your employer is your sponsor to live in the country.
