Moving to Aberdeen

by AC1 Online Now Apr 18, 2004 at 5:19 PM

Hi there, I am about to relocate to Aberdeen this May. With a budget of 1,450 pound per month, what kind of accomodation can I get? Will that be sufficient to get a place close to the city center with 2 bedroom? Also, with 340 pounds per month, what type of car will I be able to lease or purchase? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi For both cases you will get decent accomodation and a good car. Have you made any enquiries for accomodation or are you being put up in an hotel to begin with? That would be your better option until you got to know the area. Give me a shout if you want nos. for rental agencies. I don't live there but would be willing to help. Sheila

Hi AC1, Dont quite know why you would want to relocate to Aberdeen, I have lived here all my life. I currently live at the end of the main street in aberdeen, i live in a 4 bedroom flat and that costs us £980 month and £1200 year on Council Tax ( Thats something that varies depending on the area you live in ) Our flat is in good condition so you should have no problem finding a flat for the money you are willing to spend Good luck with the move and give me a shout if you need any more help Take it easy Steve

Hi, Thanks for all the information. I have gone through some property listings and should settle for Bannermill Place or West End. Will be in town from last week of May. Cheers, Alan
