Koreans/Japanese in Auckland + International Guesthouses there

      Auckland Jun 4, 2013 at 10:41 PM

Hey are there any Koreans living or traveling through Auckland around 11th July 2013. I got a lady friend who will be there for 3 weeks from that time and it's her first time to travel out of Asia so she's nervous.... she's looking for Korean 20 somethings and 30 somethings WOMEN to hang out with...also Japanese WOMEN are okay as she speak Japanese well. Additionally could you recommend any good International guesthouses for her to stay at? She can speak a little English so she would like to meet and hang out with people from other countries. She is currently living in Japan. Your help would be really appreciated ;-)

Hi all, what is the tempreture & day time range now in June in New Zealand? Esp for Queens Town area. Is the leaves become red/yellow now? or already dropped to the ground? Still good for travel with a coat only in Mountain area?

Doing LOTR Tours on our own

New Zealand May 27, 2013 at 1:39 AM

      Hi,

I'm thinking of visiting New Zealand in May/June next year. Just wondering, is it possible to drive and do the LOTR tours on our own? It seems like most people just pay for the tours. For example, are we allowed to enter the Hobbiton site on our own ?

Also, in terms of routes, would you recommend going from Auckland towards the South Island, or to land in Auckland, fly straight to Christchurch and then head northward? Or is there no difference?

      Thanks.

by blutac Online Now Mar 22, 2007 at 9:11 PM

I really don;t want to have to do a guided tour, but might not be left an option as they only let you book in 2 or more. If you are about to do this please send me an email at tom@dalrymple.cc or text 00447789868878 asap. Long shot!

    • Abel Tasman & fitness!

by KerriMcD Online Now Jul 21, 2004 at 10:15 PM

Hi there, A group of friends & I are doing the Abel Tasman 3 day kayak & walk (1 day kayaking & 2 days walking) in January and I'm wondering how fit I will have to be to do it - especially the 7 hours of kayaking! I'm relatively fit but don't have very strong arms so am thinking I may have to do some training in advance.. Any advice/experience/suggestions would be most welcome. Kerri

I am feeling a little overwelmed with all of the visa stuff and I was hoping someone could give me advice on how to obtain the a work visa once in New Zealand and how I should go about having my boyfriend sponser me.
